Waterless Urinals

sahara_3_colours_inset.jpg

The GW6 Sahara waterless urinal bowl uses

the same GW6 valve core as the popular

GW6 cartridge. The urinal is UK manufactured

in glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) making it less

heavy, despite its large format, than a typical

ceramic bowl but much more resistant to damage. The gel coating is hand polished to a beautiful long-lasting finish. As you might guess, we're particularly proud of this product!

Key Benefits:

  • unique dual valve technology for added protection against odours

  • small, replaceable GW6 valve core typically lasts for 6 months, often as long as a year

  • no sealant required

  • no special tools required for maintenance

  • high drainage rate - approximately 30 litres per minute, so can be sluiced

  • manufactured in damage-resistant GRP

  • simple to fit with bracket supplied

  • waste pipe connection can be horizontal (e.g. through panel) or vertical

  • standard colours as shown but others available to special order

Instead of a fluid barrier, the GW6 cartridge uses a silicone double-skirt valve which is tolerant of both water and common cleaning chemicals

The GW6 Karoo waterless urinal bowl uses the same GW6 valve core as the popular GW6 cartridge. The urinal is manufactured in ceramic and is suitable for both concealed and exposed pipework. The compact design, projecting only 260mm from the wall, avoids splashback issues by having a deeper than normal bowl,

The GW6-15 Patagonian ceramic waterless urinal bowl uses the same valve and "snorkel" technology as the popular GW6 cartridge. The urinal is manufactured in ceramic and is suitable for concealed pipework. The Patagonian now incorporates the latest version of the GW6-15 valve core with much faster drainage - approximately 12 litres per minute. This allows for more effective sluicing of the waste pipes to keep them even cleaner. Chemical resistance has also been much improved, particularly against bleach, to which silicone valves are particularly vulnerable. The dual valves are now manufactured in a special silicone to reduce the chance of damage from harsh cleaning chemicals, although these are still best avoided in order to maximise the life of the cartridge.

Instead of a fluid barrier, the GW6-15 valve uses a silicone double-skirt valve which is tolerant of both water and common cleaning chemicals.

Key Benefits:

  • unique dual valve technology for added protection against odours

  • small, replaceable GW615 valve core typically lasts for 6-12 months

  • high drainage rate

  • waste pipe connection must be horizontal (e.g. through panel)

  • reduced water and maintenance costs

  • manufactured in high quality cermic

  • Stylish design ideal for high end look washrooms

  • water saving reduces energy use and emissions

  • lower installation costs—no water or electrics

The GW6-15 Tanami waterless urinal bowl uses the same valve and "snorkel" technology as the popular GW6 cartridge. The urinal is manufactured in ceramic and is suitable for exposed pipework. The Tanami now incorporates the latest version of the GW6-15 valve core with much faster drainage - approximately 12 litres per minute. This allows for more effective sluicing of the waste pipes to keep them even cleaner. Chemical resistance has also been much improved, particularly against bleach, to which silicone valves are particularly vulnerable. Note: The bowl shown in the YouTube video demonstrating the GW6-15 is not the Tanami urinal.

Key Benefits:

  • Saves water, thus reducing energy and emissions

  • Reduced expenditure on water and related sewerage costs

  • No floods

  • Unique dual valve technology for added protection against odours

  • Small, replaceable GW6-15 valve core typically lasts for 6-12 months

  • No sealant required

  • High drainage rate

  • Manufactured in ceramic

  • No trap required connects directly to waste

Waterless and flushed urinals: reliable and long-lasting odour prevention, without the use of a trap.

Sinks: allows for fast drainage and odour prevention, without the use of a trap.

Call-centre in Manchester, UK, having problems following the cleaning regime required by traditional micro-biological waterless urinals, with resulting odour problems due to cartridge degradation. Replaced cartridges used in the waterless urinals with the GW6-15, resulting in a dramatic reduction in problems experienced and lower costs of maintenance due to the chemical resistant properties of the GW6-15.

A major urinal manufacturer had problems with another type of cartridge being originally bundled with a waterless urinal product. The GW6-15 was adopted instead due to better reliability, availability plus packaging and documentation with the manufacturer’s own brand.

“Off grid” washroom manufacturer incorporated urinals fitted with the GW6-15 into their wooden cabins designed for use in areas where there was no electricity, mains drainage or water supply. The GW6-15’s reliability, longevity and tolerance when operating in high and low temperatures were seen as particularly important for such sites.
